Nicholas Koy Santillo; Luke
Nicholas is a classically trained actor, receiving an an MA in Classical Acting for the Professional Theatre from LAMDA and a BFA in Theatre Performance from Concordia University in Montreal. He has trained in the martial-dance performance style of traditional Beijing Opera, at the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts (NACTA) in Beijing, and also in Western styles of stage combat - where he is certified as an Advanced Actor-Combatant through Fight Directors Canada. He has been working professionally in the theatre since 2008.

Joanna Caplan; Amanda
Joanna Caplan is an actress, theatre artist and arts educator who has worked and trained extensively with Double Edge Theatre in Ashfield, Massachusetts. Her solo show, Total Verrückt! has toured to Detroit, New Orleans, Baltimore, Toronto, Prince Edward Island and LA. Recently, Joanna has expanded her theatre practice to explore the martial art Kalaripayattu, as well as the performance practice Ottanthullal, both forms originating in the Indian state of Kerala. She currently resides in Toronto where she is working in film.

Jonathan Davies; Dr. Konrad
Born in Montreal and moved to England when he was 10, Jonathan studied media and then worked as a producer at the BBC. In 2014, Jonathan decided to follow a lifelong dream of being an actor, attending the London City Academy of Acting and the Amused Moose Comedy workshops. Since arriving in Toronto, last winter, Jonathan has appeared in numerous TV series, short films and commercials.

Peter has been involved in the performing arts in one aspect or another his whole life. Whether it be on screen or on stage Peter has always sought out ways to be involved. Starting out as an actor, Peter has transitioned himself to behind the camera where his bossiness can flourish.
Dylan Liedtke; Writer

Dylan Liedtke (Lid-Key), was born March 12th, 1993 in the Ottawa Valley, Ontario, Canada. From an early age, he excelled at music, art and public speaking. His love for people and collaboration eventually lead to Dylan to form a band with high school friends. Dylan wrote and recorded original songs; singing and playing rhythm guitar for the group. He also enjoys the drums and harmonica outside of the band. The group still plays in its original formation from time to time.

Dylan moved to Toronto with his bandmates in 2013. There, the band rented a house together and pursued the city’s music scene while working hard to remain independent. After a few years, Dylan decided to expand on his skill set and began considering a career in the film industry.

Enrolling in Humber College’s Film and Television Production program allowed Dylan to realize his full potential, and use and build on his established skills in new ways. Dylan produced a short documentary about the environmental ethics of disposable coffee cups in 2017. Later, in 2018, Dylan acted as assistant director for a short studio drama, while also the acting as the head writer for another production. He loves to be involved in filmmaking, weather its on or off set. He strides to be a leader that values ethics, inclusiveness and empowers those around him to achieve their potential.

Michael Kashuba; Director of Photography
Michael currently attends Humber College with a concentration in cinematography. He took classes a University of Toronto and Sheridan College prior to, which taught him the theoretical, practical, and technical knowledge of film production. He was honoured to receive the Art Gallery of Ontario Award in 2016, recognizing his educational achievements at Sheridan College. Most recently, he was the director of photography on the sci-fi drama Experience Machine (2018), the documentary, Methadone: Painted into a Corner (2018), and short film Lipstick (2017).

Brianna Wilson; Production Designer
Brianna is an aspiring production designer. She is creative and works well under pressure. She has worked as a documentary director, and has just worked as production designer on a funded film.

Ali Akhbar Khan; Art Director
Ali Akhbar Khan is a Mississauga based filmmaker born in Dubai. At a young age, Ali used art as a form of expression and by the age of ten began making films. Since then; Ali has made dozens of short films and is now enrolled in Humber College’s Film and Television Production Program.

Talia Woodland; Camera Operator, VFX Editor
Filmmaker by day and professional dancer by night, Talia Woodland is a unique 22 year old creative from Whitehorse Yukon. Having trained in many styles, Talia is an incredibly well rounded dancer, from doing music video gigs to creating full length, multi media shows with her dance company Borealis Soul. Specializing in dynamic visuals and unorthodox editing styles, her films are full of original movement and striking human imagery. Her knowledge of movement, performance and rhythm allow her to succeed and grow in her two art forms. Having recently moved to Toronto for film and dance, Talia is training harder than ever and continues to push, innovate, and express herself with her “moving” films.

Sebastian Cruz; Assistant Director
Sebastian is an international filmmaker; born in Colombia, and is a Canadian citizen. He is fluent in English and Spanish. His approach to filmmaking is primarily influenced by and developed with visual art and literature. His primary roles in film are writer, director, 1st AD and director of photography. In each of these roles, he employs his artistic and literary knowledge and skills. And in more administrative roles, such as AD, he prepares visually comprehensible and attractive paperwork, and works closely and cooperatively with all department heads. Sebastian’s goals as a filmmaker are to write and direct films he has envisioned from an early age, with major film studios.

Josh Bester; Sound Recordist, Sound Mixer
Josh Bester is a film student at Humber College who specializes in sound. He does everything from Boom Op, to Sound Recording to Mixing. His main works so far have been as the Sound Recordist, Dialogue Editor, and Mixer on the short drama Redemption, Boom Oping on the short studio drama Death Unparted, and of course Sound Recordist and Mixer on Experience Machine.

Travis Au; 1st AC
Travis D. Au is a student studying Film and Television Production at Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. He was born in New Brunswick but grew up mostly in the GTA. Since a very young age, Travis has had a special love and passion for films and storytelling. So, when scrambling to figure out what career path to follow after highschool, stumbling upon Humber’s Film and Television Production program felt like a natural fit. Travis has created some of his best memories working on films and continues to work at building his film and television resume.

Antony Lena; 2nd AC
Antony Lena is an up and coming filmmaker and musician. Growing up his two best friends film and music helped guide him in his passion to create and explore his artistic ability. He now finds himself studying film production at Humber College, where he hopes his musical talent and motivation to create cinematic art is tested and showcased.

Matthew Takatsch; Editor
Matthew is currently enrolled at Humber College studying Film and Television Production. Specializing in editing and screenwriting, his technical knowledge in post-production and evocative storytelling skills are assets on any film crew. Focused and friendly, he is sure to deliver efficient editing and writing skills along with a smile. Most recently, he was the editor for the documentary Hot Cup of Garbage (2017) and the sci-fi drama Experience Machine (2018). Prior to attending Humber, Matthew earned a degree with honours from the University of Toronto, majoring in sociology and criminology as well as minoring in professional writing. His true passion lies in filmmaking, so the transition into Humber’s film program felt unavoidable. His commitment to watching films is also impressive as he strives to watch at least one new film every week. Yes, even the bad ones. In between making movies, Matthew stretches his legs by travelling the world looking for new inspirations.
